Tanaghom Gardenia was founded in Damascus in 2016 as a response to the growing silencing of women's voices and the shrinking space for collective expression. The founders — artists, musicians, and human rights advocates — believed that choral singing could become a peaceful, inclusive form of resistance and healing.
تأسست تناغم غاردينيا في دمشق عام 2016 استجابةً للتهميش المتزايد لأصوات المرأة وتراجع مساحات التعبير الجماعي. آمن المؤسسون — فنانون وموسيقيون ومدافعون عن حقوق الإنسان — بأن الغناء الكورالي يمكن أن يكون شكلاً سلمياً وشاملاً من أشكال المقاومة والتعافي.
Today, the association bridges art and civic engagement through two ensembles: Gardenia, a professional all-female choir, and Tanaghom, a youth choir devoted to peacebuilding and social cohesion across Syria.
